HISTORY OF THEATER AT MT. TABOR
Mt. Tabor Elementary has a long history of excellence with our drama troupe. Each year we produce a wonderful musical for our students and community to enjoy. This annual tradition began in the nineties and continues to flourish today. The past several years we’ve had to adjust our included cast members. We used to include only 5th and 6th graders until our 6th graders moved to middle school. At that point, we opened the auditions to 4th and 5th graders until we once again lost some students to the middle school (5th grade). Currently, auditions are open to 3rd and 4th graders. We now have our theatrical performances in the spring which allows our younger thespians a chance to mature. We’ve always had children who had experience to help the younger ones; however, this school year both groups are new to the theater.
